Apple Poised for Strongest June-Quarter Revenue Growth in Five Years as Stable iPhone Prices Boost Sales
Apple is expected to post its strongest June-quarter revenue growth in five years, driven largely by steady iPhone pricing and resilient consumer demand. According to analysts, the company is forecast to report revenue of $108.65 billion for its fiscal third quarter (April–June), representing a 15.5% year-over-year increase—its fastest growth for the period since 2021.
Unlike many smartphone manufacturers that raised prices to offset rising component costs, Apple chose to keep iPhone prices unchanged. The strategy appears to have paid off, with global iPhone shipments increasing by an estimated 3% during the quarter. Market research firm Counterpoint estimates that Apple's global smartphone market share climbed to nearly 20%, even as the overall smartphone market experienced its weakest April–June performance in 13 years.
While Apple recently increased prices for certain iPad and MacBook models due to higher memory and storage chip costs, it left its flagship iPhone lineup untouched. Analysts believe this decision helped the company strengthen its competitive position while rivals struggled with slowing demand following price hikes.
Apple has also regained its position as the world's most valuable publicly traded company, briefly surpassing a $5 trillion market valuation. Investors have increasingly favored Apple as concerns grow over the massive spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure by other technology giants.
Despite avoiding major AI infrastructure investments, Apple has seen its stock rise nearly 25% this year. Market experts say investors are rewarding the company for maintaining profitability while limiting capital expenditure, although many expect Apple to introduce higher iPhone prices with its next-generation devices, which are typically unveiled in September.
Analysts also expect Apple's profit to grow by 18.1%, though gross margins are projected to ease slightly compared with the previous quarter. Even if future iPhone prices rise, many believe Apple's loyal customer base and tightly integrated ecosystem will help sustain demand.
Looking beyond the iPhone, Mac revenue is expected to continue growing despite recent price increases, while iPad sales growth is likely to moderate compared with the previous quarter. Overall, Apple appears well positioned to deliver another strong financial performance, supported by solid product demand and a pricing strategy that has resonated with consumers.
