Operation Thraal – Full Pack-Up

Starring Jayasurya, Operation Thraal—a high-voltage thriller written and directed by renowned music composer Ratish Vega—has completed filming.

Presented as a Pan-Indian film in five languages, the movie is produced by Joby George under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments.

It is a rare occurrence in the film industry for a music director to venture into another area of filmmaking. With Operation Thraal, Ratish Vega earns the distinction of making his directorial debut. He laid the foundation for his transition into direction by writing the screenplay for Thrissur Pooram. For his debut as a director, Ratish has chosen a subject with strong public interest—the confrontation between the Indian Army and terrorists in Tral, Kashmir.

Operation Thraal is a large-scale production made on an expansive canvas with a substantial investment. The story progresses through the aftermath of a shocking convoy attack in Kashmir and the subsequent covert investigations. The notable encounter between the Indian Army and terrorists in Tral, Jammu & Kashmir, forms a crucial part of the film's central theme.

With these events serving as the backdrop, Operation Thraal has already become a much-discussed film across India.

Jayasurya plays the central character Harshavardhan, an officer of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Jayasurya described Operation Thraal as one of the most exciting and challenging films of his acting career. Based on national security, the film features high-octane action sequences and is mounted on a massive canvas. He expressed hope that audiences will experience the scale of the film and that its powerful message will reach viewers across the country.

Alongside Jayasurya, the film features prominent Malayalam actors including Sai Kumar, Siddique, Anson Paul, and Nandu, as well as Bollywood actors Ritika Singh, Vinay Rai, and Amyra Dastur. Several other actors from Malayalam and other Indian film industries are also part of the ensemble cast.

The music and background score are composed by director Ratish Vega himself.
