“Maram Kothi” – Vaikom Vijayalakshmi’s Lyric Video from Ottamthullal Creates a Buzz

With her distinctive and captivating voice, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi has established a unique presence in the Malayalam music industry. Folk-inspired melodies have always been among the most popular songs in her repertoire.

Now, her latest song, “Maram Kothi Vegathil, Manam Kothi Neerunnu… En Thuyire…”, from the upcoming film Ottamthullal, directed by G. Marthandan, has been released as a lyric video.

The song has created a strong buzz across social media within a very short time of its release. The lyric video has been launched as part of the promotional campaign for the film, which is scheduled to hit theatres soon.

The lyrics are written by B.K. Harinarayanan, while the music is composed by Rahul Raj.

Presented by Aadhya Productions, the film is produced by Mohan Nellikatt under the banner of JKS Productions. Cyriac Alenchery is the co-producer, while Hiran Mahajan and G. Marthandan serve as executive producers.

The filmmakers describe Ottamthullal as a purely rooted, rural story. Set in a village inhabited by ordinary people, the film revolves around an issue that begins within one family and gradually becomes a concern for the entire village. The story is presented through plenty of humorous and entertaining situations.

Vijayaraghavan plays the central character. The film also features Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Tiny Tom, Harishree Ashokan, Manoj K.U., Binu Shivaraman, Jeo Baby, Sidharth Siva, Kutty Akhil Jerome, Bipin Chandran, Priyanandanan, Vaikom Bhasi, Adinad Sasi, Roy Thomas, Master Sripath, Aniyappan, Sreeraj, Pauly Valsan, Sethulakshmi, Jasna K. Jayadeesh, Chithra Nair, Priya Kottayam, Bindu Aneesh, Latha Das, Ajeesha, Raji Menon, and Baby Riharaj in prominent roles.

Bibin George also appears in an important role.
