Malayalam Thriller Kandan Set for Worldwide Theatrical Release on July 31

A new Malayalam thriller, ** Kandan **, produced entirely against the backdrop of the United Kingdom, is all set for a theatrical release on July 31. The film marks a significant milestone for Malayalam cinema as one of the first feature films made by the UK Malayali community to receive a simultaneous theatrical release in both India and the United Kingdom.

The film is directed by debut filmmaker Jibin Antony, who has also written the screenplay, edited the film, and penned its lyrics. Jibin Antony and Alan Jacob have jointly handled the cinematography. Filmed completely in the UK, Kandan features a cast of talented newcomers from the UK Malayali community.

The film's music has been composed by Jaison John, while its soundtrack—featuring songs rendered by acclaimed playback singers Sooraj Santhosh, Sithara Krishnakumar, and Anju Joseph—has already received an enthusiastic response from audiences.

Produced under the banner of Fourth Wall Pictures, the film is co-produced by Saji P. Kurian, Aju John, and Sabu Thomas. Benny Asamsa serves as the Creative Head, while Philip K. J. is the Line Producer.

The UK distribution of Kandan is handled by RFT Films, while Himukri–Jayageetham will distribute the film across Kerala.

With its unique production background and international collaboration, Kandan is expected to offer audiences a fresh and gripping thriller experience when it hits theatres on July 31.
