M. Padmakumar – Amala Paul Film Begins Shooting

The shooting of a new film directed by M. Padmakumar, featuring prominent South Indian actress Amala Paul in the lead role, commenced on Friday, September 11.

The film is produced by Ramesh Gopinathan under the banner of Raj Sagar Films. The shooting began with a traditional pooja ceremony held at Ayisha Manzil in Mahe.

In the presence of film professionals, crew members, family members, and prominent personalities from the social and cultural fields, Mrs. Ushasreedharan and Snisha Ramesh jointly lit the ceremonial lamp. Former Puducherry Home Minister E. Valsaraj, industrialist Sudhakaran Pookkod, along with members of the film fraternity, family members, and well-wishers, participated in the ceremony.

The film officially went on floors after renowned producer and exhibitor Liberty Basheer performed the switch-on ceremony and Mahe MLA Adv. T. Shobith Kumar gave the first clap. Kottayam Naseer appeared in the first shot.

The film is a full-fledged horror thriller. The story revolves around a series of events that unfold when Assistant Commissioner Anupama Iqbal is assigned to investigate a sensational case that has made headlines in Kannur and its surrounding areas. The narrative progresses with suspense and tension from the very beginning, taking the audience through an intense horror-thriller experience.

Along with Amala Paul, the film features Vijay Babu, Irshad, Kottayam Naseer, Indrans, Binu Pappu, Muktha, Ronnie David Raj, Uyir Harish, Deepan Sivaram, and Adhya Amit in prominent roles.

The film is planned as a Pan-Indian project.

M. P. Suneesh has written the screenplay. Ajay David Kachappilly is the cinematographer, while Sooraj E. S. handles the editing.

The songs are penned by Hari Narayanan and Muthu Vivek Moozhikunnu, with music composed by Nandagopan & K. K. Nishad. Sabu Ram is the art director, Ranjith Ambady handles makeup, and Sameera Saneesh is the costume designer.

K. J. Vinayan serves as the Chief Associate Director, with Aakash M., Saji Mundoor, and Rahul Krishnan V. as Associate Directors. Ranganath Ravi handles sound design.

The choreography is handled by Dinesh Kumar and Anu Viswanath. Action sequences are choreographed by P.C. Stunts, Michael, and Ashraf Gurukkal. Shibi Shivadas is the still photographer.

Sujan Kumar is the Line Producer. Anilkumar Mankavu, Dileep Kumar M. K., and Biju Parakkal are associated with finance management. Shamnas M. Ashraf serves as Executive Producer.

In production, Ashraf Panjara is the Production Executive and Tobias is the Production Controller.

The film will be shot extensively across Thalassery, Mahe, Vadakara, Kannur, and Koothuparamba, where the remaining portions of the production will be completed.
