First Look Poster of Ramarkoothu Unveiled at the Beginning of Ramayana Month

Marking the beginning of the sacred Ramayana Month, the first look poster of ** Ramarkoothu **, a docu-fiction film directed by Vijeesh Mani, has been officially unveiled.

The poster was released by Padma Shri Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, who presented it to Mounayogi Swami Harinarayanan during a special ceremony.

Ramarkoothu is based on the ancient tribal performing art of Attappady, a fading cultural tradition in which the story of Lord Rama is narrated through music, dance, and theatrical performance. The film aims to preserve and celebrate this unique indigenous art form and its cultural significance.

Produced by Anashwara Charitable Trust, the film has completed its production. The cast features renowned Ramarkoothu artist Ponnan Rangan, along with Karamada Jayan, Vinod Oothukuzhi, Maruthan, and several tribal artists from Attappady, bringing authenticity to the project.

Through its blend of documentary realism and cinematic storytelling, Ramarkoothu seeks to document and revive one of Kerala's most valuable yet endangered tribal heritage art forms.
